What we collect, and why.

What we collect
- Email address — to send you a one-time sign-in code, your order confirmation and, if you opt in, the morning menu.
- Name and phone number — so the driver can find you and message you when your box leaves the kitchen.
- Delivery address and postcode — to check you're in the Cardiff delivery zone and to deliver.
- Your orders — what you ordered, when, for which day, and how you paid.
- Buraq Table — company name, work email, invoice email and headcount, to quote and to invoice.
- Mr Flash — the questions you type are kept so Hooria can see what people ask for. Please don't type personal details into it.
We don't collect card numbers. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are taken by SumUp inside their own secure checkout; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
Why (the legal basis)
To perform the contract you make with us when you order (delivery, payment, allergen duties), to meet our legal obligations as a food business, and — for the morning menu email — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the link in any email.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare — hosts this website, the ordering system and its database.
- Resend — sends our emails (sign-in codes, confirmations, menus).
- SumUp — takes card payments.
- Google Workspace — our email inboxes.
We don't sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don't use advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
Order records: six years, because HMRC requires it. Your account details: until you ask us to delete them. Mr Flash questions: 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email admin@buraqhospitality.co.uk and we'll answer within a month. If you're unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. The ordering app keeps a sign-in token in your browser so you don't have to re-enter your email each time; signing out clears it.
